Wife 1.0

Dear Systems Analyst,
I am desperate for some help! I recently upgraded my
program from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 and found that the
new program began Unexpected child processing and also took
up a lot of space and valuable resources. This wasn’t
mentioned in the product brochure. In addition Wife 1.0
installs itself into all other programs and launches itself
during Systems initialization, where it monitors all other
system activities. Applications such as “Boys’
Night Out 2.5 ” and “Clubbing 5.3″ no longer
run, and crash the system whenever selected. Attempting to
operate selected “Sunday Football 6.3″ always
fails and “Sunday Shopping 7.1″ runs instead. I
cannot seem to keep “Wife 1.0″ in the background
whilst attempting to run any of my favorite applications.
I am thinking of going back to “Girlfriend 7.0″,
but un-installing doesn’t work on this program.
Can you please help?
AND THIS IS WHAT THE ANALYST SAID:
Dear Customer,
This is a very common problem resulting from a basic
misunderstanding. Many customers upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0
to Wife 1.0 thinking that Wife 1.0 is merely a UTILITIES AND
ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM. Actually, Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING
SYSTEM DESIGNED BY IT’S CREATOR TO RUN EVERY PROGRAM
WITHIN IT’S DOMAIN. You are unlikely to be able to
purge Wife 1.0 and still Convert back to Girlfriend 7.0, as
Wife 1.0 was not designed to do this and it is impossible to
uninstall, delete or purge the program files from the system
once it is installed.
Some people have tried to install Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife
2.0 but have ended up with even more problems. (See manual
under Alimony/Child Support and Solicitors’ Fees).
Having “Wife 1.0″ installed myself, I recommend
you keep it installed and deal with the difficulties as best
as you can. When any faults or problems occur, whatever you
think has caused them, You must run the
C:\APOLOGIZE\FORGIVE\ME program and avoid
attempting to use the *Esc-Key. It may be necessary to run
C:\APOLOGIZE\FORGIVE\ME a number of times, and
eventually hope that the operating system will return to
normal. Wife 1.0, although a very high maintenance
program, can be very rewarding. To get the most out of it,
consider buying additional software such as “Flowers
2.0″ and “Chocolates 5.0″ or
“HUGS\KISSES 600.0″ or “SEX 500.0″ or
“TENDERNESS\UNDERSTANDING 1000.0″, or even
“C:\EATINGOUT\WITHOUT.THE.KIDS 7.2″ (if
child processing has already started).
DO NOT under any circumstances install “Secretary 2.1
Short Skirt Version” (any version), as this is not a
supported application for Wife 1.0 and the system will
almost certainly crash.
BEST OF LUCK!
Your Systems Analyst

Sylar (from Heroes) is bringing sexy back!

I don’t know what it is about Zachary Quinto’s character Sylar that gets me all hot. Probably he is incredibly sexy and even MORE incredibly evil. Which is the opposite of myself, on the evilness anyway. Here is a great YouTube video someone compiled of a bunch of hot screenshots and clips. Enjoy my evil fantasy ladies! (and some men, i’m sure)
Good vs. Evil
by Ness on Mar.05, 2009, under favorites, geek, news
I am a huge quote lover, and I can get quite nerdy about it. Â I even sometimes comment on my friends Facebook status with quotes, which was what I was doing tonight when I came across a great one by Charles Dickens:
““There are dark shadows on the earth, but its lights are stronger in the contrast.” — Charles Dickens
This prompted me to search for some other good vs. evil themed quotes that I just thought I’d share. Â They are kinda fitting with all thats going down these days, i think as humans we all encounter that struggle in our lives, no matter what our beliefs. Â So here we go!
“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”  –  PlatoÂ
“Ignorance, the root and the stem of every evil.” –  Plato  Â
“Non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“The web of our life is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together.” – William ShakespeareÂ
“When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I’ve never tried before.” – Mae WestÂ
Beta Safari 4 Browser for Mac out!

I’m sure you’ve already heard about the long awaited Safari 4.0 Browser being released recently, but I just wanted to share how in love I am with it after 20 minutes of using it. Â It is just super fast and has a sleek look to it. Â My favorite feature so far is how you can view, edit and surf your Top Sites at a glance.
Here is a screenshot I took this am:

And for PC users, sorry but I believe it is Mac only. Â Below is a link to where you can download it if you want to try it. It’s super easy to report bugs and whatnot by clicking on the little spider next to your search bar (which i think is just too cute). Â And they are NOT kidding when they say its the world’s fastest browser. Â I heard its 40x faster than Google Chrome but I can’t remember where from!

This RSS feed from NASA’s website is my absolute favorite!  If you are a fan of astronomy or photography, you will love it for sure.  If anything they often make for great desktops or backgrounds.  This one today I wanted to share especially.  It is a picture of the Milky Way galaxy over Mauna Kea, the volcano that we visited in Hawaii last summer.  Truly amazing!Â

“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.” - Dr. Seuss
I have always loved Dr. Seuss and his children’s books. Â I remember being read them as a child, and reading them to my sister, and now I read them to my toddler son as well. Â When I read this quote today, I just had to share. Â He really was a smart and insightful man.
